Hour of CI

Introducing cyberinfrastructure (CI) and cyber literacy, one hour at a time

Hour OF CI

Hour of Cyberinfrastructure (Hour of CI) was a nationwide campaign that introduced hundreds of diverse undergraduate and graduate students to cyberinfrastructure and geographic information science (GIScience) while building Cyber Literacy for GIScience. The NSF-supported project developed 17 interactive, online lessons for students and created supplementary curriculum materials for instructors. These hour-long lessons provide base knowledge and skills across eight core areas and then test this knowledge through interactive content.

[NOTE] The project ended in 2024. Lessons were migrated to the I-GUIDE Platform and are sustained as part of the Convergence Curriculum for Geospatial Data Science. Click below for more information.
